The problem with most 3PLs

A missed label format doesn't just delay a shipment. It gets it bounced back.

Shipping into Walmart, Kohl's, or TJ Maxx isn't the same as shipping anywhere else. Retailers have their own labeling formats, routing rules, and chargeback penalties for getting it wrong, and getting it wrong is expensive.

If you've been hit with chargebacks before, or you're coordinating drayage and inbound container processing across three different vendors with no single point of accountability, that's the exact gap we built our operation to close.

How it works

From container at the port to product on the shelf, in three steps

Receive & drayage

Inbound container receiving and segregation by SKU, style, or destination. Port-to-warehouse drayage handled in-house, so your product moves without waiting on a third party to coordinate pickup.

Process & label

Pick tickets, pallet labels, and store-compliant labeling, the detail work that determines whether a shipment gets accepted or bounced back.

Ship & track

Every shipment tracked through Extensiv, so you have visibility into your inventory without needing to call and ask.

In-house drayage

Your container doesn't sit at the port waiting on someone else's schedule. We move it ourselves.

Who we are

A trucking company that became a warehouse, run by the same family the whole way

ALS West Coast Logistics started in trucking. Close to twenty years ago, the business shifted into dedicated warehousing and fulfillment, built around apparel and retail importers moving product through the Ports of LA and Long Beach.

It's still family-run. Gilbert Rodriguez Sr. built the operation over decades. His son, Gilbert Jr., now runs day-to-day operations across both facilities. Most new clients come to ALS through referrals, other importers and retail brands who worked with the team and told a friend.

Second-generation, family-run Gilbert Sr. built it. Gilbert Jr. runs it today.

Why brands work with us

Family-owned, not corporate

You're not a ticket number in a call queue. You're talking to the people who actually run the warehouse.

Fast turnaround

Quick response times and fast processing, because delays cost you money with retail partners.

Retail compliance built in

We've done the work of learning what big-box retailers require, so you don't have to learn it the hard way, or pay the chargeback for finding out.

A modern WMS

Every shipment is tracked through Extensiv, giving you visibility into your inventory without needing to call and ask.

Common questions

What brands ask before they switch

Drayage is the short-haul transport of your container from the port to a warehouse for unloading. If your product comes in by ocean freight, you need it. We handle it in-house so there's no extra coordination on your end.
Yes. We're set up for the specific labeling and routing requirements big-box retailers require, which is one of the main reasons apparel and retail brands work with us. We currently support shipments into Amazon, Costco, HomeGoods, Kohl's, Macy's, Nordstrom, Ross, Target, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Walmart.
We don't handle flammable or hazardous materials, or very large and heavy freight like furniture or construction materials. Almost everything else, apparel, footwear, home goods, cosmetics, and similar consumer products, is within our wheelhouse.
Yes. Apparel is our deepest experience, but we've handled home decor, cosmetics, and other consumer goods programs as well. If you have consistent volume, it's worth a conversation.
We're built for ongoing programs, not one-off small shipments. If you're importing on a recurring basis, even seasonally, let's talk.
